Our fees for psychological services are based on an hourly rate of $185.00 per hour. The hourly fee covers the cost of the services that are provided to you, in addition to the costs of running a private practice, as well as ensuring we remain up to date with recent developments in treatment and assessment. Fees are payable after each appointment by cheque, cash or credit card (but just Visa and Mastercard). A receipt will be issued that you may submit for insurance reimbursement.

Fees for assessments are associated with the costs of administering, scoring, interpreting psychological tests/questionnaires and providing feedback to clients. Consultation with schools in person or over the phone, observations of student in class setting are also billed at the hourly rate.  Basic letters to employers concerning requests for special accommodations, reduced workloads or a leave of absence will be charged a flat rate of $50.00.  

In case of an unexpected situation where you may not be able to attend your scheduled appointment, we require 48 hours (2 business days) notice so that we may be able to offer the time to another patient. We have patients on our waiting list wishing to book an appointment, therefore last minute cancellations are only accepted in the case of an emergency. A $50.00 fee will be applied to your account for any cancelled/re-scheduled/missed appointments without the required 2 business days’ notice.

Services may be covered in part or in whole by private health insurance plans. If you have such a plan, please look into the exact coverage of the plan and what restriction/requirements your plan places on accessing psychological services. 
Psychological services are not covered by OHIP but may qualify for tax deductions as a medical expense. Most psychological services are exempt from GST/HST.
